1979: Giorgio Moroder performs “Chase” on German TV

Giorgio Moroder’s soundtrack work in the 80’s set a sonic aesthetic for an entire decade. His scores for Flashdance, Scarface, The NeverEnding Story, and Top Gun have permeated the mainstream for the last 25 years. Composed alongside of his classic albums From Here To Eternity and E=MC², his debut score for the film Midnight Express won the 1979 Academy Award for Best Original Score.
